In the Name of Love: NFS Rocks the Music of U2

Let out your inner rock star and come belt along with Newton Family Singers as we perform anthems of passion and justice by Irish superstars U2! This kid-friendly rock concert is the perfect way to share your love of U2 with your whole family.
The program: “Angel of Harlem,” “40,” “Pride (In the Name of Love),” “Wild Honey,” “Every Breaking Wave,” “Mysterious Ways,” “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” “With or Without You,” “Stand Up Comedy,” “Sunday Bloody Sunday,” “Sweetest Thing,” “In God’s Country,” “One” and “Beautiful Day.”
The concert benefited the Newton Food Pantry, which provides nutritionally balanced free food and personal care products to approximately 750 Newton residents who cannot afford enough to eat. More than a third of those they serve are children. We ran a food drive alongside the raffle: bring a dry good, get a raffle ticket.
We sang the U2 program again that month at the Newton Free Library and at Waban Village Day.
