Loves Me Like a Rock: A Joyous Celebration of the Music of Paul Simon

Performing Arts Center, Newton North High School457 Walnut Street, Newtonville, MA

Join us for a program of energizing and inspiring music of Paul Simon, from the classic hits of the 1970s to his uplifting African rhythms.

This was our first big benefit concert. Proceeds went to two local autism organizations, AANE and the Autism Alliance of MetroWest, both serving individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, offering community and connection, education and information, and celebration of diversity. Alongside the concert we ran a campaign around our video of Andy Rogovin’s original song “Love Is a Beautiful Thing”: for every YouTube “like,” sponsors Hinckley Allen and NESCA donated a dollar. All told, the season raised over $10,000.

The video, filmed that spring with the whole chorus, is on our Videos page, and the sheet music is free to download.
