When I Was a Child

A program of folk songs about childhood and growing up: “Daddy Sang Bass,” “Follow the Drinking Gourd,” Neil Young’s “Sugar Mountain,” “Teach Your Children” and “Give Me the Banjo.” It was our last show with founding choral director Joel Sindelar, who went on to lead SingPositive in Jamaica Plain. Suggested donation was eight dollars, and three hundred people had turned out for the Waban tree lighting the week before.
